Usopp

Usopp is the biggest liar on the Grand Line, and also — somehow — the most dependable. He's a coward who fights the bravest fights, a fraud who makes his lies come true through sheer stubborn willpower. He ran from Kuma. He ran from every fight he could. And then he stood on a tower in Enies Lobby and told the World Government to get off his crewmate.

His father is Yasopp, sniper for Shanks. He grew up in Syrup Village making up stories about his absent dad coming back as a pirate hero. The stories were lies. Every single one of them, though, became the blueprint for the man he'd turn into: sniper, inventor, dragon-slayer, God.

The Usopp Pirates were four kids with slingshots in a village that never expected anything from them. Now he's a marksman feared across the Grand Line, a tactical inventor who weaponizes fear and fire and fruit-based chemistry — and a reminder that courage isn't the absence of fear. It's showing up anyway, and making up a better story while you do.
